Breakfast at Sampan Fish & Chips

You now get double the portion at Sampan Fish & Chips in Udon Thani city centre. Food servings haven’t got bigger but the shop premises has doubled in size. It looks very good too. The new look Sampan Fish & Chips has a fresh looking colour scheme and apple-pie order furnishings and give the extended premises an appealing and easy on the eye look.

Sampan Fish & Chips is a very well-run business. The menu and service the vanguard of their success. The revamped menu now includes full English breakfast and has proven to be a very popular addition. I decided to check it out. For me a full English breakfast is a great way to start any day in Udon Thani.

Sampan Fish & Chips – Full English Breakfast

In one word – Superb. I’ve eaten many full English breakfasts in Udon Thani at a variety of locations. This one ranks with the very best. Probably the top of the tree.

The breakfast rolled out at 185 baht, two toast, a bowl of baked beans and refillable coffee or tea included – a smaller full English is available. Top marks for presentation and most of all the breakfast tasted superb. The bacon the best I’ve ever eaten in Thailand. Sausages top drawer too. Kudos to owners Jeab and Harry.

Beer sales have also been added to the soft drinks available. Seating inside and out. The menu eat-in or takeaway.

Sampan Fish & Chips is a fresh-faced business showing no sign of wrinkles. Highly recommended.
